AI video privacy and consent guide for secure photo-to-video creation

AI video privacy: the short answer

SpicyFrame is an adult-only AI image-to-video studio: upload only photos you own or may use, and obtain permission from every identifiable adult before transforming their likeness. Guest results use temporary 24-hour access; signed-in users control new library storage. Segmind still processes the references required to generate a video, so never upload confidential or unauthorized material.

A 60-second check before uploading a photo

Ask five questions: Who created the image? Who can be identified? Did every person agree to this specific AI transformation and its intended audience? Does the frame reveal a document, address, badge or private location? Where will the finished video be published? SpicyFrame’s practical standard is simple: if one answer is uncertain, do not upload the file until the rights and consent are documented.

What consent should cover

Permission to take or possess a photograph is not automatically permission to create an AI video from it. A useful consent record names the person, source image, planned transformation, sensitive or suggestive context, commercial or public use, channels, territory, duration and withdrawal route. Keep the record with the campaign files. This is a production checklist, not a substitute for legal advice in your jurisdiction.

Privacy after the video is generated

Download only to a trusted device, review the full clip for unintended faces or readable information and remove location metadata from source files when it is unnecessary. Do not forward a temporary result link as permanent hosting. Once a video is downloaded or published, deleting it from the studio cannot recall copies already saved, reposted or processed by another provider.

Disclosure rules in 2026

A clear AI-generated label is good practice whenever a realistic scene could mislead viewers. In the European Union, Article 50 transparency obligations began applying on 2 August 2026 to covered providers and deployers, including rules for machine-readable marking and disclosure of deepfakes. The correct label and responsibility depend on the content and use case, so verify current platform and local requirements before publication.

AI image-to-video questions answered

Is it private to upload a photo to an AI video generator?

An upload is not purely local: the service and its generation provider must process the file to produce the video. On SpicyFrame, reference images and outputs sent for generation are processed by Segmind. Use the storage control, avoid confidential material and read the current privacy terms before submitting.

Does SpicyFrame publish my uploaded photos?

No. Private uploads are not placed in the public example gallery. A signed-in library is private to the account, although authorized service administration and support can access stored account media when necessary. Public sharing happens only when you download or distribute the resulting file yourself.

What does “Keep my new photos and video” control?

It controls new saves to the SpicyFrame account library and the draft in the current browser. Turning it off clears that browser draft and prevents new library saves; it does not erase media already stored in the account and does not control the generation provider’s own retention process.

Are guest uploads stored in a library?

No. Guest orders do not archive files in an account library. The completed result is provided through temporary access that expires 24 hours after completion. Prompts and reference URLs for completed temporary orders are cleared on completion, while necessary payment and consent records may remain.

Who processes my reference images?

SpicyFrame uses private site storage for applicable account features, while reference images and generated outputs submitted for creation are processed by Segmind. Stripe processes billing and Lovable/Supabase support authentication. Providers may process data outside your country, subject to their own safeguards and retention terms.

Can I prevent every third party from processing my image?

Not while requesting a cloud generation. The model provider needs the relevant image and prompt to create the output. Disabling SpicyFrame library storage limits new reusable studio saves but cannot eliminate processing that is technically necessary for generation or rewrite an upstream provider’s retention rules.

Should I remove photo metadata before upload?

Remove unnecessary EXIF data, especially location coordinates, device details and timestamps, before using a sensitive photo. Also inspect the visible background for addresses, badges, documents, screens and bystanders. Metadata removal does not replace consent, but it reduces information unrelated to the creative request.

Can I upload a photo I found online?

Only when you have the rights required to copy, upload, transform and use it. Public visibility is not a license. A photographer’s copyright, a platform license, the subject’s likeness rights and brand or artwork permissions can all apply separately. If the source and license are unclear, choose another image.

Can I animate a photo of my partner or friend?

Only after that identifiable adult has agreed to the proposed AI transformation and intended use. Explain the context, audience and whether the output may be suggestive, public or commercial. Keep written evidence for important projects. Consent to being photographed does not automatically authorize synthetic animation.

Can I upload a photo of a minor?

No. SpicyFrame is for adults and identifiable people in references must be 18 or older. Consent from a parent or guardian does not turn a minor’s image into an acceptable upload for this adult-oriented service. Use a different, adult-only reference.

Is consent still needed when the photo belongs to me?

Yes, if another identifiable person appears. Owning the file or holding the photographer’s copyright does not establish that person’s consent to an AI transformation. Copyright and likeness permission answer different questions, and both may matter before uploading or publishing.

What should a model release for AI video include?

For professional work, identify the source material, person, transformation, context, audience, channels, commercial purpose, territory, term and any sensitive themes. State whether synthetic motion and audio may be created. A release should be understandable and specific; obtain local legal advice for high-risk or large campaigns.

Can consent be withdrawn after generation?

A person may withdraw permission depending on the agreement and applicable law, but withdrawal cannot automatically recall every downloaded or reposted copy. Stop new uses, remove copies you control and document the response. Define a withdrawal contact and takedown process before publishing a campaign.

How do I delete stored media from SpicyFrame?

Signed-in users can use “Delete all my media” to remove stored uploads, saved videos and prompts after active renders are resolved. Download anything you need first because deletion cannot be undone. The action keeps the account and piments; account deletion is a separate control.

Does deleting media erase every external copy immediately?

No. Studio deletion cannot recall downloads, public posts or files already processed by another provider. Those copies follow the destination platform’s or provider’s own process. Deletion is important, but it should not be treated as a substitute for minimizing uploads and obtaining permission first.

What data may remain after deletion?

Limited billing records, authorization evidence and minimal revocation or security records may remain when required for legal duties, fraud prevention or claims. Deleting media and deleting an account are distinct actions. Review the current privacy notice for the exact SpicyFrame controls and limitations.

Can I use an AI video commercially?

Commercial use requires more than permission from the tool. Confirm rights to every input, likeness, logo, artwork and added sound; comply with provider terms and destination-platform rules; and consider disclosure duties. AI output may also receive different copyright treatment across jurisdictions.

Do I need to label a video as AI-generated?

Label realistic synthetic media when viewers could mistake it for authentic footage, and follow each platform’s rules. In the EU, Article 50 transparency obligations apply from 2 August 2026 to covered AI systems and certain deepfake uses. Requirements vary, so check the current rule for the intended market.

Can I use a celebrity or public figure photo?

Do not assume public status removes privacy, publicity, copyright or impersonation concerns. A realistic synthetic endorsement can mislead viewers and create additional legal and platform risk. Use licensed material and documented authorization, or choose a fictional or consenting adult subject instead.

What is the safest workflow for sensitive images?

Use the minimum necessary resolution and crop, remove metadata, exclude bystanders and confidential background details, document adult consent, disable optional storage when a library is unnecessary and download to a protected device. For intimate, regulated or high-value campaigns, obtain professional privacy and rights advice before upload.
