Updated
Seedance 2.5 in short
Seedance 2.5 is a video generation model from ByteDance, released on 31 July 2026. It turns reference images and a text prompt into a short video clip with sound. SpicyFrame generates every video with Seedance 2.5 through the provider Segmind, so everything in this guide applies directly to the studio.
How it ranks
At the time of writing, Seedance 2.5 ranks 2nd on the LMArena image-to-video leaderboard and 4th in text-to-video. It is also the most requested image-to-video model by API request volume in the muapi.ai rankings. Leaderboards change quickly, so read these positions as a snapshot from October 2026 rather than a permanent title.
Native 30-second clips in one pass
Seedance 2.5 can generate a 30-second clip in a single pass. Many competing models top out around 10 to 15 seconds, so a longer scene usually means stitching several clips together, with visible jumps in lighting, pose or outfit. A single pass keeps one continuous take, which suits slow walks, turns and camera moves that need time to develop.
Reference images and consistency
The model accepts many reference inputs at once. Giving it several photos of the same subject, outfit or setting helps keep faces, clothing and style consistent with your references from the first frame to the last. Consistency is strong, but an exact likeness is not guaranteed: always review faces, hands and fine details before sharing.
How to use Seedance 2.5 in SpicyFrame
Add one to 12 reference images (JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB each) that you own or have permission to transform, and refer to them in your prompt as @Image 1, @Image 2 and so on. Choose 5, 10 or 30 seconds and Medium 480p or High 720p. Every video is vertical 9:16 with native ambient audio, and the price is shown before you pay, from $1.07 for 5 seconds in Medium.
A prompt written for Seedance 2.5
Give one subject, one main action, one camera move and one mood: “@Image 1 walks slowly along a rooftop at dusk, hair moving in the wind, @Image 2 for the outfit, smooth tracking shot, warm city lights, soft ambient street sound.” For a 30-second clip, add an opening and an ending moment so the motion has a clear arc.
Limits to keep in mind
In SpicyFrame, output is limited to 480p or 720p, vertical 9:16 and a maximum of 30 seconds per clip. Each request follows the provider’s content rules and can be refused; confirmed failures restore your piments or refund a single-video payment. The studio is for adults only and does not produce explicit sexual content.
