How to choose the best photo for an AI video

The reference photo decides most of the result. What resolution, framing, light and pose give the most natural AI motion.

Sharp and well lit

Use the sharpest version you have, ideally straight from the camera roll rather than a compressed screenshot. Even, soft light on the face gives the most stable features in motion. JPG, PNG and WEBP up to 10 MB are accepted.

Frame for the movement you want

If the subject should walk or turn, choose a photo that already shows most of the body and some space around it. For a portrait close-up, a head-and-shoulders photo is enough. The model has to invent anything outside the frame.

Simple backgrounds move better

Busy backgrounds with many people, text or patterns tend to wobble. A clean wall, a street with depth or natural scenery gives smoother motion and makes the subject stand out.

Use several references for consistency

You can add up to 12 images. Mention them in the prompt: “@Image 1 is the person, @Image 2 is the outfit, @Image 3 is the location.” Extra angles of the same person can help, but exact identity preservation is never guaranteed.

Only photos you are allowed to use

Use images you own or have permission to transform, featuring adults. An identifiable real person must be 18+ and have agreed to the transformation.
